Operational Data Store Password Changes

Changing your Operational Data Store, ODS, password just became easier and more secure. Previously, if you wanted to change your password, you would have to call or e-mail the Information Systems department at Colorado State University and either have a password generated for you, or tell them what you wanted your password to be. This method of changing your ODS password was insecure and didn’t let users have control over their information.

Now, ODS users can visit to change their password. From the eIdentity homepage, choose “Change ODS Password,” log in with your eName and ePassword and then you will be prompted to change your ODS password. Unlike some password change portals, you do not have to know your previous password to create a new one. However, this password change only affects your ODS password and not your ePassword. Also, it should be noted that you won’t be able to use this service without an ODS account.

This new method of changing passwords allows ODS users to change their information online at their leisure and through a secure portal. In order to successfully change your ODS password, certain guidelines must be followed. Take a look below:
